Additionally, we provide home sleep study diagnostics, in-office spirometry, fiberoptic bronchoscopy (scheduling required at Robert Wood Johnson Univesity Hospital in Hamilton, NJ ) and comprehensive lung nodule and cancer follow-up care. Dr. Hassan Shahid has over 5 years of pulmonary medicine experience. He is also an expert in intensive care unit (ICU) care, post-ICU pulmonary treatment, and post-ICU syndrome. Dr. Shahid earned his medical degree as a Cum Laude from American University Of Integrative Sciences School Of Medicine, finished his residency at Tower Health, and then specialized in Pulmonary and Intensive Care Unit medicine at Thomas Jefferson Hospital; National Jewish.
Dr. Shahid cared for his patients in the ICU and at their homes during the COVID-19 pandemic. His dedication is driven by the connection he builds with his patients over the course of their lives, as well as the enjoyment he holds from keeping them healthy and well. Throughout the years of his career, Dr. Shahid has gained the respect of his patients and the community by providing world – class care.
Yjie Llagas is an adult gerontoloy nurse practitioner who specializes in pulmonary medicine. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from William Paterson University as Cum Laude in 2012 and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Rutgers University graduating as one of the top of her class in 2019.
Yjie began her career as a young staff nurse and worked her way up. From her earnest desire to help others and her exceptional sense of compassion, she remains steadfast in her skills and dedication to providing excellent patient care. She brings warmth and a great sense of empathy to her role as a nurse practitioner, allowing her to better connect with her patients and family members. Her willingness to embrace change, passion to acquire knowledge, and kind nature have been her greatest assets in her long career commitment to service. During the COVID pandemic, Yjie worked on the front lines as a provider and nurse leader in the hospital and in the community promoting COVID screening, telemedicine follow-up, prevention, and testing.
